World Jr. Notes: Emil Molin on Sweden’s final roster

Dallas Stars prospect Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) is heading to the World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia.

Sweden announced its final roster for the tournament on Sunday, and Molin is one of the 23 players who will represent the defending gold medalists.

Molin scored one goal in one World Junior exhibition game for the Swedes. The skilled forward, who can play center or wing, has played in both the Swedish Elite League and at the junior level this season for Brynas.

Center Radek Faksa (first round/2012) did not factor in the scoring as Czech Republic defeated Germany, 7-2, in an World Junior exhibition game today. Faksa had no points in two exhibition games for the Czechs.

Faksa, Molin and Brett Ritchie (second round/2011), who is playing for Canada, are the three Dallas prospects playing in the tournament, which gets underway on Wednesday and runs through January 5.
