  1. wow Klingberg looks pretty good leading that PP – need to keep an eye on him…

  2. Hey Mark,

    How did Desrosiers look overall?

    • Daniel,

He was very good for his first game of the year and it being against a higher level of competition than he’s seen before. He looked a little nervous at the start, but he settled in, had some great saves and said he would have liked to have that third goal back. Overall, really nice showing for an 18-year-old goaltender at this tournament.

  3. Mark,

In two games so far, who has impressed you? Are there any that have surprised you with how skillful they are?

    • Tony,

Well, it’s only two games in a preseason tournament, but… Nichushkin and McKenzie have stood out. Gemel Smith has been pretty good. Liked Radek Faksa and Taylor Peters. I liked Matej Paulovic in last night’s game. Oleksiak, Nemeth and Jokipakka have looked good on defense. I’ve always liked Klingberg’s offensive skill and enjoy watching him with the puck. Both goaltenders- Campbell and Desrosiers – were solid.

      • Thanks Mark,

I live in Deep South Texas and don’t get much of a chance to see games. I’m going to the game in San Antonio for sure and might try to make some during the holidays in Dallas which is 10 hrs away for me. I appreciate the videos and the feedback.

  4. Here’s a link to full period videos of the Stars playing the Red Wings. Worthwhile to watch if you haven’t seen them.
