Dallas Stars development camp opened in Frisco on Thursday. It was overshadowed by the big trade between the Stars and Bruins, but it’s not like camp came to a halt or anything. All the prospects still went through the various on and off ice workouts.
Except for defenseman Joe Morrow, who was part of the trade and is now no longer a part of camp. It must have been a strange day for Morrow. He did television interviews, an interview with Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News and one with Ali Lucia of the Stars web site. He was kind of the media start of day one, and then he he was shipped off to the Bruins. Morrow, acquired by the Stars back in March from Pittsburgh in the Brenden Morrow deal, has been traded twice in a span of little more than 100 days. That led to him putting out this tweet Thursday evening.
I'm getting pretty good at this whole being traded thing… But I think that's enough for now. Glad I have fans that will always support me!—

I had a couple of goals for camp on Thursday. One was to do some interviews. I was able to do a few, but not as many as I had hoped because some players had yet to arrive. Radek Faksa was one of them.
The other goal was to watch Valeri Nichushkin. Didn’t get to do much of that because of the trade stuff, but I did shoot a little bit of video of him. He’s wearing No. 27.
