Dallas Stars Brenden Dillon, Stephane Robidas and Loui Eriksson are headed to the quarterfinals at the World Championship.
Dillon and Robidas will square off against Eriksson on Thursday when Canada plays Sweden in one of the four quarterfinal matchups. The other games are Switzerland vs. Czech Republic, Finland vs. Slovakia and Russia vs. USA.
Stars forward Antoine Roussel (France) and Stars defensemen Philip Larsen (Denmark) did not advance to the playoff round of the tournament.
In Tuesday’s final preliminary round games, Eriksson had two assists as Sweden defeated Denmark, 4-2. Eriksson played on a line with Daniel and Henrik Sedin. He played 23:24, had two shots on goal and a plus-two rating.
Larsen played a game-high 25:27, had no points, a team-high five shots on goal and a minus-one rating for Denmark.
Roussel scored a goal in France’s 3-2 overtime loss to Germany. Roussel played 13:20, had one shot on goal, a plus-one rating and a ten minute misconduct penalty. He won six of 16 faceoffs.
Dillon and Robidas did not play Tuesday. Canada’s final preliminary round game was Monday.
