Brenden Dillon, Stephane Robidas named to Canada’s roster for World Championship

Dallas Stars defensemen Brenden Dillon and Stephane Robidas were among the first 22 players named to Canada’s roster for the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

This will be Dillon’s first time suiting up for Canada in international play. Robidas played for Canada at the 2001 and 2006 World Championships.

Lindy Ruff will serve as head coach for Team Canada along with assistants Doug Shedden, Dave Tippett and Barry Trotz.

This year’s tournament runs from May 3 to May 19 and will be held in Stockholm, Sweden and Helsinki, Finland.
