Dallas Stars forward Alex Chiasson suffered a shoulder injury in Monday night’s 5-2 loss at Chicago and is listed as day-to-day.
Chiasson was injured at 1:03 of the second period when he was hit behind the Chicago net by Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson. Chiasson immediately skated off the off the ice and headed to the locker room.
“They looked at his shoulder and think it may be a sprain,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “He’s going to be a day-to-day guy.”
Chiasson, who was called up to the NHL after the NHL trade deadline, scored six goals in his first six NHL games and entered Monday night’s contest riding a five-game points streak (6 goals, 1 assist).
