The Dallas Stars have called up goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp under emergency conditions from the Texas Stars of the AHL.
The recall of Nilstorp was prompted by Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen suffering a lower body injury in Tuesday’s game against Los Angeles. Lehtonen left the game late in the first period after experiencing some soreness. He is listed as day-to-day.
Richard Bachman finished Tuesday’s game for Dallas, stopping all 22 shots he faced as the Stars defeated the Kings, 5-1.
Nilstorp returned to Texas lineup last week after missing three weeks with an upper body injury. He stopped 20 of 22 shots in a 2-1 loss to Hamilton in his first game back on Saturday. Nilstorp is 18-11-3 with a 2.26 goals against average and .909 save percentage with Texas.
Nilstorp is 1-3-1 with Dallas this season and has posted a 3.09 goals against average and .897 save percentage.
