Reilly Smith back in tonight, Tomas Vincour a scratch

Reilly Smith will be back in the lineup tonight as the Dallas Stars play at Detroit. Smith, who was scratched last night in Columbus, is expected to start the game at right wing line with left wing Brenden Morrow and center Tom Wandell

“We want to get him ice time,” Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said of Smith. “He’s fresh legs.”

Ryan Garbutt, who had been playing with Morrow and Wandell, will move to a line with Eric Nystrom and Vernon Fiddler.

Tomas Vincour will be the odd-man out and a healthy scratch.

Defenseman Aaron Rome (flu) joined the team today, but will not play. Derek Roy (groin) is out as well.

Kari Lehtonen, as noted in an earlier post, will get the nod in goal. He’ll be getting starts on consecutive nights.

“When we have a goalie of his caliber that is playing this way and his saying that he is completely healthy and fresh, then you’ve got to trust the athlete,” Gulutzan said.
