Dallas Stars prospect Radek Faksa played his final game of the 2013 World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia on Friday, picking up no points as Czech Republic defeated Switzerland, 4-3, to finish fifth in the tournament.
Tomas Hyka led the Czechs with one goal and two assists.
Faksa registered two shots on goal and an even-rating for the Czechs. He won six of 15 faceoffs in the game.
Faksa, Dallas’ first round pick (13th overall) in 2012, finished the tournament with two assists and a plus-one rating in six games. He won 53 of 97 (54.6 percent) of his faceoffs.
The medal games are Saturday. Stars prospect Emil Molin and Sweden take on Team USA for the gold medal. Canada and Stars prospect Brett Ritchie play Russia for the bronze. Both games will be carried on the NHL Network in the U.S. both live and on a tape delay basis (schedule below). The gold medal game will be streamed live on NHL.com as well.
