Friday notes: Another goal for Brett Ritchie

Here are a couple of notes on Dallas Stars prospects.

*Another game, another goal for right wing Brett Ritchie. The second round pick (44th overall) in 2011 ran his goal scoring streak to four games with one goal in Niagara’s 9-0 rout of Ottawa in the Ontario Hockey League Thursday night.

Ritchie, who ranks second in the OHL with 25 goals in 31 games, has scored 21 goals in his last 15 games and has scored at least once in 13 of those 15 contests.

Next week, Ritchie will head to Calgary to take part in Canada’s selection camp for the 2013 World Junior Championship.

*Defenseman Ludwig Bystrom scored his third goal of the season earlier this week as MODO defeated Vaxjo in the Swedish Elite League. The second round pick (43rd overall) in 2012 has 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists) in 25 games this season.

Bystrom leads all junior defensemen playing in the Swedish Elite League in goals and points, and he ranks sixth among all junior players in points.
